Happy 2022 from Fox Therapy!

As the new year starts, I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on how 2021 has looked for Fox Therapy. Turns out I had a very busy year!

Here are some of the cool things I’ve been up to in 2021.

I attended a lot of excellent online training this year, including workshops about therapeutic storytelling, working with guilt, anger management, inner child work, imposter syndrome, health at every size, and body trust. I love growing my therapeutic knowledge and finding new skills to offer my clients.

I was also lucky enough to attend talks on therapy by Irvin Yalom, Stonewall, and Pink Therapy. It was great to learn so closely with therapeutic experts and to bring this community learning with me into the therapy room.

I even managed to attend a weekend-long, in-person workshop about Working Alongside Trans, Gender Diverse and Questioning People, which was run by Gendered Intelligence. It was incredible to refresh what I know about how to help trans people with such great and inclusive training!

2021 marked a full year of seeing clients over Zoom from my home office, so I spent time fully decorating my office space with books, plants, and therapeutic art. Working online has been an exciting way to meet all kinds of clients from around the U.K., and having a comfortable office at home has made that experience even better.

I also achieved full BACP registration after passing my proficiency exam, which means I’m a registered BACP member as well as being fully accredited by the UKCP. This means I can work with even more kinds of clients in 2022 and beyond.

I can’t wait to see what 2022 brings for Fox Therapy and my clients. My plan for the year is to read through my giant stack of therapy books, take care of myself and my new office plants, and keep being the best therapist I can be. I can’t wait to see you in 2022!
